Low Prices on golf equipment...

Since the ecomony is bottoming out... it seems that prices on everything seem to be dropping. I recently found some salivation-worthy golf equipment that I purchased immediately... a full set of golf clubs... Callaway X-20 irons! 3i-Pw, this set has custom weighting and shaft stiffness that's perfect for a guy my height, taking into consideration my swing speed and posture... they are amazingly accurate: Seriously, I don't think I could throw a football as straight as I can hit a golf ball with these irons... it's amazing. I get a full-on Kool-Aid Man smile on my face every time I hear that lovely "THWACK!" as the iron grabs a touch of grass right beneath that ball and fires it like a cannon off into the sunset, eclipsing the flag as it sails almost magnetically towards the green with enough backspin to make even the most equilibrious (yes, I made this word up) figure skater vomit from the dizzies.

Despite that ridiculous tangent, the point is that there is an upside to this downer economy... things are getting cheaper, and not just the necessities, but also the fun stuff like golf junk for golfin' junkies.

Old-School Golf Hats

See the thing about them is they're cool (retro, vintage cool) as long as they go with the outfit, which includes buckled shoes, knee socks, and a pair of plaid knickers. Today, if you wear one just for the hell of it, then I dub thee a jackass.

Go buy yourself a few real golf hats that suit today's style tastes, get them in all your favorite colours, get one that really "brings out your eyes" I don't really care... just get one or two or a bakers dozen soon. The bill will protect your eyes, and the style will protect mine from seeing a jackass out on the golf course.

Oh, and if you do decide to go old school with your garb, at least use some updated golf equipment, like clubs and bags and what-not. No one wants to see a guy shooting triple bogie with a set of old woodies and a 19 pound bag that was old enough to vote in the Nixon election...

So it's that time of year again... new golf equipment comes on the market and I have to sift through countless gimmicks and money traps to find the good stuff. Luckily, I've been doing my research and have learned that if you need new clubs this year, Taylormade irons are the way to go. I'd like to take this time to express my deepest sadness for my Aunt Melody... she an accountant and right-hand-woman at an exhibit company called Expo3 and basically keeps the place running and the exhibit builders don't know what to do without her
... she recently learned that she has a tumor on her lung and we're not sure what it is yet or what will happen from here... Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers :-/

Attention! golf equipment is on sale!

Yep, that's right... every time spring begins to approach, you can find spectacular deals on all your "necessary" golf equipment... Although your wife may wonder why you need a new putter after just purchasing one last year, you know why you need a new one... because playing with new-fangled equipment and this year's newest innovations in golf is FUN! I think this year, I'm going to look at Taylormade drivers. In my opinion, they are the best in the game, and the shapes and weight designs that they are making this year are absolutely extraordinary. I'm hoping to lower my handicap by at least 3 strokes over the summer, so wish me luck!

Airplanes & fabrication exhibits...

Well, I've recently been out of school for winter break and for some reason picked up one of the nerdiest of hobbies: playing Flight Simulator in Google Earth. I even cut my hair and went down to a trade show and saw Cessna's fabrication exhibits... they were awesome. They even had a scale-sized mockup of one of Cessna's popular new crafts. I came to learn that the exhibit company, not Cessna, had fabricated the plane, much to my impress.

What is dual factor authentication?

I just have to say that the thing rides like a cadillac and can take anything the ground can dish out, all thanks to the new Teryx suspension I had installed. I got it from the same place that I got my Polaris ignition... I did it all online, thanks to Dragonfire Racing!

The Buying of a New Polaris ignition!

That's right--I bought a new Polaris ignition. I figured I owed it to myself since the other, cheaper one was causing me troubles... and ESPECIALLY after my wife practically destroyed our Teryx suspension. It was a shame, but we got the good stuff now. We're all happy... are you?

Time to buy some Polaris accessories!

It's riding season again! (although it's been unseasonably warm) the heat cannot last! To be honest, I'd be fine with just a nice set of Taylormade irons

I know that I put forth a bold request in my last entry, begging for both Taylormade drivers AND Taylormade irons, but I know the prices, and I know my friends & family ain't rich... so how about just a set of irons? Or even a few good wedges? The driver I have now hits straight. It could hit a little longer, but it keeps me in the fairway more often than not... and anyone I've golfed with knows that my Achilles heel is my short game... so please, help Taylormade help me out by getting me some of their finely crafted clubs! I can drive like a machine, I can putt like... uhh... someone who can putt really well, but my approaches and short game sucks. I suppose the only short game shot I'm good at is bunker saves. Seriously, I can get out of any bunker with any club any time, for some strange reason... but put the ball on perfectly groomed fairway about 40 yards out and watch me shank it and take a big chunk of sod up with the ball... anyways, I'm rambling. I hope my self-depreciative talk of golf inspires you to get me the clubs I need so I can start winning back money from my golf-shark friends. Why do I always agree to skins games? ehhhhh.

Here's what I want for Christmas: Taylormade drivers and Taylormade irons. I'm sick of getting gift certificates for green fees... I can pay those myself. How about getting the whole family together to "pitch in" (no golf pun intended) and get me what I really want? Pretty please? With a freakin' cherry on top???

Election Coverage via satellite internet services!

Since I was out in the boondocks on November 4th, I was still able to track the results online with thesatellite internet services of my satellite internet provider. It was quite exciting to follow, even over the internet! Of course, I would have rather watched the election coverage on live TV, but since I was camping, I wasn't able to. If it weren't for satellites in the sky, I would have been in the dark until I returned home...

Lucky me :-)

Of all the things I have to do today, I absolutely HAVE to go out and get some baby clothes and baby furniture for my friend's baby shower next weekend. I'm booked solid all week and it HAS TO BE DONE TODAY! ugh...

Baby furniture. Since kids are smaller in stature than adults, they need furniture that fits their size as well, so don't leave them out... It's mandatory!
